Which three books would you recommend?

The Fountainhead
Ayn Rand
I recommend everyone to read this book with an open mind. I find myself rereading this infamous and classic Ayn Rand novel of excessively epic monologues over and over for punishment and pleasure to this day. My physical copy is barely still bound together. It's chaotic, extreme, and force feeds you her ideas of individualism and reason that you may love or reject. Take what you want from it, but I loved the story entirely.

White Kenya Hara
This is a great design bible. I think all designers and artists would love this book. Kenya Hara is a huge inspiration to me and I love how gentle yet direct his aesthetic philosophy was put into words.

The Temple of the Golden PavilionYukio Mishima
This story is filled with incredible inner dialogues capturing the darkness surrounding obsession with beauty. His prose is a work of art. It was a great introductory novel into Mishima's world and to his other works which has brought me so much joy over the years.

What is your favourite bookstore or library?

There is a small bookstore in Los Angeles called the Arcana. There is always a unique selection of art books and I like going there just to browse and for inspiration. I also love the Tsutaya in Daikanyama, but who doesn't?
