Which three books would you recommend?

Siddhartha
Hermann Hesse
Siddhartha takes you on a journey through understanding one's mission in life and navigating a relentless passion for living in your truth and self-discovery. It was a book I read very early on in my career that became a guiding light and led me to read many other works by Hesse. I would recommend it to anyone starting out on their journey through true self realization and looking for inspiration.

Homegoing Yaa Gyasi
Homegoing is an intricate and beautiful generational story of enduring and living through the violence of the American slave trade. You will take to this book if you're craving a realistic and raw understanding of how the slave-trade has violated, disparaged, and also shaped human lives throughout our history.

Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling GoodAdrienne Maree Brown
This book helped me understand the importance of taking care of my mind, body, and energy as an activist and a person of color. adrienne maree brown masterfully explores activism, rest, and pleasure through a nuance of experiences. Painting a broader picture of what it means to experience joy while working to make change in our world.
