Which three books would you recommend?
TypographieEmil Ruder
This book has deepened my interest in the world of typography. Emil Ruder played a significant role in shaping many renowned typographers, such as Roy Cole, Helmut Schmid, Wolfgang Weingart, and others. He made a positive impact on the international typography scene, one of which was through his contributions as an active writer for Typographische Monatsblätter (TM), a highly influential Swiss graphic design and typography journal in the 1950s and 1960s, during the rapid rise of Swiss Typography.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves typography, whether they are designers or enthusiasts. It is also an engaging read for those interested in learning about the history of modern typography after World War II.
Make Something Wonderful Steve Jobs
Since I first owned a MacBook White in 2005, I have become increasingly fascinated and inspired by Steve Jobs. His thoughts have greatly influenced me in building my career as a graphic designer and in developing my graphic design studio, Nusaé.
I highly recommend this book to those who love design and technology, innovative entrepreneurs, and anyone with a vision they are striving to achieve.
A World Without Words Jasper Morrison
When I first saw this book, I was intrigued by its title, A World Without Words —what would a world without words be like? It turned out that the book was written by Jasper Morrison, a renowned British product and furniture designer. This book showcases icons of design history alongside simple everyday objects, without words—conveying meaning purely through visual language and form. Additionally, unique discoveries blend with the archetypes of modernism, creating a fascinating and inspiring visual experience.
